The Academy at Ocean Reef is a coeducational, Toddler-8th Grade independent school dedicated to providing the highest quality of education and preparing students for highly selective secondary schools.

Start Date: August 15, 2026

Hours Per Week: Part- time, two days per week

Qualified candidates must possess a bachelor’s degree or higher, have experience working with elementary aged children, and currently reside in South Florida.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred;

• Experience working with elementary grades aged children;

• Oral and written fluency in English required;

• Local residence (South Florida) required;

• Possesses excellent organizational and communication skills;

• Works collegially and collaboratively with colleagues;

• Background check and fingerprinting required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Provides student-centered and age appropriate instruction;

• Maintains a nurturing and supportive environment in the classroom that promotes genuine connections with each student;

• Communicates effectively and regularly with parents and teachers in support of each student’s development and growth;

• Supports and maintains all established routines and procedures of the school;

• Follows all policies, rules, and procedures to which teachers are subject and which good teaching practices dictate;

• Performs other duties as determined by the Head of School and Assistant Head of School.
